This wall art is a beautiful reproduction image of Gustave Baumann woodcuts. Gustave Baumann (1881 - 1971) created color woodcut prints of American rural landscapes. Baumann was active in the era before photo-reproduction replaced wood engraving. He was active in the Chicago and Indiana countryside until he took a trip to Taos, NM...which then became home. He lived in Santa Fe area for more than 50 years carving into wood southwestern landscapes and spring and summer garden and orchards. His prints are awash in brilliant, hand-ground pigments.
About our frames: Beautifully hand-finished in quarter sawn white oak with mortise and tenon joinery.
Prints are matted and backed with archival materials.
